As a maker, he is interested in creating socially situated and contextualised choreographies. In his creative processes he applies framed improvisation as a tool to generate physical material, which is usually informed by sound, a sensorial approach to movement, relations between the personal/private and the social sphere, aspects of queerness and sociopolitical situations. In BOUNCE – one of his latest works – he has used aspects of Somatic Experiencing in order to create a physical ritual of collective repair, whereas in L04D – his latest creation – he reflects on social parallels drawn between the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s/1990s and the recent COVID-19 pandemic in order to address matters of biopolitics, queerness, care and stigma.
